Bookkeeper

This person is responsible for the financial accountability and records of SOND including, but not limited to: cash management and reporting, custodian of payables, receivables and payroll, external reporting to outside agencies and financial analysis for President/CEO and staff.  This person reports directly to the President/CEO with oversight by the Chief Executive Officer (COO).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Knowledge base of QuickBooks and use of classes
  • Ability to process through financial statements
  • Ability to file quarterly tax returns (payroll, sales tax, gaming, etc.)
  • Demonstrated financial analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability in accounts payable and various financial reconciliation
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently (multi-tasking)
  • Computer skills: Quick Books, Word, Excel, Access,
  • Ability to work as a team member while independently carrying out objectives
  • Ability to work with the board 
  • Have a current driver’s license and insurance
  • Reading, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning & analysis  
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision    
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and resourceful
  • Experience in goal development and implementation
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in book keeping / accounting
  • Knowledge in charitable gaming background
  • Knowledge of various inventory methods

COMPENSATION:
Wages to commensurate with experience.
